From its first vintage in 1973 Virgin Hills seemed like nothing more than a crazy idea. Yet it began to acquire a cult status, making Virgin Hills one of the most sought after wines in the 80s and early 90s.

In 1997, Virgin Hills was sold to the publicly owned Vincorp.
Virgin Hills has emerged from its brief flirtation with public ownership and once again it is being made by people who
cherish its individualism. The future is bright for a wine that
has achieved greatness against the predictions of many.
